Aircrew Alcohol Abuse
The military aircrew alcohol abuse is designed to withstand the effects of having a drink in every pub discovered worldwide. Work hard, play hard, and enjoy comical conversations with buddies while partying abroad. Of course, alcohol abuse can cause hangovers afterward are something to contend with.
According to a Harvard University study, alcohol abuse is the second most common form of substance abuse in the United States, after tobacco addiction. Some people are more severely affected by alcoholism than others. An estimated 10% of adult men and 5% of adult women have an alcohol use disorder. Their use of alcohol leads to health problems or troubles at home, at work, at school, legally, or when flying aircraft!
Heavy drinking can serious damage to the brain, heart, liver, stomach, kidneys and nervous system. It also increases the risk of cancer of the esophagus, mouth, throat, and larynx (voice box). While there are many risks to drinking alcohol, there also may be some benefits of moderate drinking – not extreme binge drinking! That means no more than two drinks (5 ounces of wine, 12 ounces of beer, or 1½ ounces of 80-proof distilled spirits) a day for men and no more than one drink a day for women.
