Pilots Looking Down on People Since 1903
$19.50 – $28.00
In 1903, flying from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first controlled flight in a wooden, gasoline-powered propeller biplane, the “Wright Flyer,” twice. The shortest flight lasted 12 seconds and the longest sustaining flight for about 59 seconds. It was a historic event but was largely ignored by newspapers of the time, who believed the flights were actually too short to be important. Crazy reporters!
Since that historic flight, aircraft have evolved and become more complex than ever. Whether military aircraft or civilian airlines, the pilots that fly these awesome aircraft continue to make history and of course continue to look down on people!
