Navy Golden Rule of Strip Clubs
Navy Golden Rule of Strip Clubs. Navy Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Army soldiers do not always follow the golden rule when frequenting strip clubs. The moral of this sailor’s story is do not try to get what you cannot afford. Bounced checks can ruin your credit history and hurt you in the end.
“There are approximately 3,862 strip clubs in the United States and industry revenue to increase at an annualized rate of 4.1% to $8.0 billion in 2019 alone. Portland Oregon (yes Portland) has the most amounts of strip clubs per capita. Despite COVID-19 they even opened a drive through strip club.” – Dr. Knowitall
Navy Golden Rule of Strip Clubs
There’s a golden rule in the Navy, and no, it’s not “Always follow orders” or “Ship, shipmate, self.” It’s never go to a strip club if you can’t afford it. But Petty Officer Daniels had to learn this the hard way. After a long deployment, the call of the neon lights and glittering stage was just too strong. Daniels strutted in, feeling like he owned the place, tossing out $20 bills like confetti. But the champagne room wasn’t included in the budget… or his paycheck.
Fast forward to the next week, when his bank account looked like it had been hit by a torpedo. To make matters worse, Daniels tried to write a check to cover the damage—a check that bounced higher than a sailor off a trampoline. Word spread around the ship quicker than a scuttlebutt. His buddies dubbed him “Rubber Check Daniels,” and his credit score went down faster than the morale after a 12-hour watch.
Lesson learned? You can’t swipe your way to happiness (or forgiveness) at a strip club. If you can’t afford it, don’t try to get it—unless you enjoy being the joke of the ship and explaining your new nickname to the Chief.
