Summary

Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell sat down with "60 Minutes" correspondent, Anderson Cooper to discuss the battle that claimed the lives of the rest of his SEAL Team, and left him alone, and fighting for his life in the Afghanistan wilderness

Story

Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell shares his story of survival and combat in Afghanistan. His story of courage and sacrifice is one to remember. Four US Navy SEALS departed one clear night in early July 2005 for the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border for a reconnaissance mission. Their task was to document the activity of an al Qaeda leader rumored to be very close to Bin Laden with a small army in a Taliban stronghold. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive.

Here are some of my favorite reads on Navy SEALS, the experience and hardcore training…not too mention drown-proofing without doing the kicking chicken
